Paddle-Tipped Tweezers
It
still amazes me, with all the SMD re-work going on, how
few of our customers know about and use paddle-tipped
tweezers.
Just take a minute to look at the advantages of
using these remarkable tools:
-'Ping-out' occurs when
you attempt to pick up a small chip and it flies half
way across the room. With the
paddle-tipped tweezer, you can squeeze the tweezer as
hard as you like with the chip on board and no
'Ping-out.'
-With much more surface
resistance, the paddle-tipped tweezer acts as a heat
sink to help protect the chip when
soldering.
-You can drop it as many
times as you like and the tips won't
bend.
-You get a firm positive
hold on the chip when placing it on the board. It doesn't rock
back and forth.
Wake up your SMD re-work customers and let
them test a 104-SA!

Two New Additions!
There are two new additions to the
Excelta family. Greg Johnson, our Vice President
of Sales, was blessed with two more grandchildren last
month. That makes 5 all together. Greg's
step daughter, Paige, gave birth to twin baby girls,
Aubrey and Layla. They are currently living in San
Diego, California but plan on moving up to the Santa
Ynez Valley within the next couple of months. Greg
has been busy trying to teach them to identify the 5
different grades of
tweezers. |

Everyday is a New Day
When Dan found out he was
going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father
dies, he decided he needed a woman to enjoy it
with. One evening he went to a singles bar where
he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever
seen. Her natural beauty took his breath
away. "I may look like just an ordinary
man," he said as he walked up to her, "but in just
a few years, my father will die, and I'll inherit
20 million dollars."
Impressed, the woman went home
with him that evening. Three days later, she
became his stepmother.
Women are so much better at
estate planning than
men! |

Excelta
started business in 1957. Other notable events of
that year included: Pat Boone sang at President
Eisenhower's Inaugural Ball, the re-opening of the Suez
Canal and the word Beatnik took hold as a word to
describe the "Beat Generation."
Sincerely,
Excelta
