Ergonomic Cutters

Often on a sales call the customer asks “is this tool ergonomic?” It’s easy to say “yes” but the best answer is “for who?” A tool that properly fits a person with large hands may not fit a person with smaller hands. This is the reason Excelta has introduced the 7100 and the 7200 series handles.

Our 7100 series is designed with a long handles and foam cushion grips. This handle is very popular with operators who have larger hands. The long handle fits nicely in the palm of the hand, and all the fingers can work together to open and close the tool. When you give the same tool to an operator with smaller hands, they will tell you “something is wrong.” Their fingers don’t fit correctly on the grip, and the handle reaches too far across the palm.

The Excelta 7200 series have a standard size handle, designed to fit operators with medium and small hands. The handles are closer together and the molded grips are wider, so as not to “dig” into the palm of the hand. Large or small, Excelta has the ergonomic handle to fit your hand.
